About Business Area GSS – Global Shared Services
As the internal support organization for DNV and DNV owned companies, we deliver shared services within Human Resources, Finance, IT and Real Estate & Procurement to DNV globally. Our mission is to enable DNV to grow, succeed with its business goals and improve competitiveness. Customer experience is at the core of everything we do. GSS is responsible for many of the tools, processes and daily routines that create the backbone of DNV.
About the role
For our region Central Europe (CE) we are looking for a working student who is currently a student and is aiming for a Bachelor's degree or in the beginning of their Master's Degree. As a working student in Finance, you will support the regional Chief Accountant team and have the opportunity to gain insights in the regional Tax team.
As a working student, you will support in particular the year-end closing process and be involved in various topics related to accounting and the year-end closing process under guidance.
Main tasks
- Help us with the preparation and year-end closing process
- Involvement in the audit process
- Support with tax law requirements

The Ideal Candidate
- Student without a degree who is aiming for a Bachelor's degree or has capactiy for 2 years
- Basic knowledge of German HGB accounting and bookkeeping (and tax law if applicable)
- Basic or advanced knowledge of Office tools (Excel, Work, Outlook)
- Fluency in German (written and spoken)
- Advanced knowledge of English
- Basic knowledge of economics (preferred)
- Willing to learn and use this knowledge to support the Chief Accountant team
- Enthusiasm and a positive attitude
