Prof. Dr. rer. nat. Andy Witt
Professor of Business Informatics with a focus on digitalisationShort Profile
Andy Witt has been Professor of Business Informatics with a focus on digitalisation since September 2023.
Since studying computer engineering at the Hamburg University of Technology (TUHH) with a focus on applied mathematics and applied physics, Professor Witt has been working on information technology solutions for scientific issues and researching Big Data analysis, digitalisation of production, artificial intelligence and sustainable industry. From 2013 to 2017, he taught and did his PhD at TU Hamburg on the application of the non-linear Schrödinger equation to water gravitational waves to physically explain the phenomenon of extreme waves emerging "from nothing". Andy Witt is the founder and managing partner of CALC4XL GmbH, whose namesake calculation software for product costs and carbon footprint CALC4XL makes it possible to develop a sustainable, cost-effective strategy for product optimisation.
