In addition to occupational health, safety and reintegration measures, preventive topics are becoming the focus of occupational health management (BGM). The voluntary measures range from yoga sessions and in-house massages over step competitions, including gadgets, to antistigmatisation campaigns for mental illnesses using gamified e-learning tools for managers.
In addition to the goal of keeping the workforce healthy and productive in the long term, there are other effects that can be achieved: To what extent do these measures have a positive effect on the employer brand of a company and thus on the retention and acquisition of talent? And to what extent can corporate social responsibility be seen here?
On the other hand, there are also critical questions to consider: To what extent is each individual responsible for their own health? And where does inappropriate interference in the privacy of the individual begin?
